Vision

Postby verwar » Thu Oct 18, 2018 4:34 pm

Hello,

I was recently diagnosed in March after having 2 bleeds. I'm wondering if the foggy vision is an after affect? I don't have the foggy vision every day and have had an increase in eye floaters. Just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar. I am waiting for my vision insurance to kick in for an exam.

Welcome,

I can't say for sure, but from my experience... Yes...my vision was very effected. Mine was blurry when things were moving and sometimes a very slight double vision. It was weird and made me dizzy and tired. Lots of doctors told me, no, my vision problems were not related because I did not have damage in my occipital lobe, but as it turns out...vision is very complex and lits of parts of the brain are responsible for different parts of vision. I went to the eye MD and he said my vision itself was perfect...I didn't need glasses but the problems I was having were a "central" aka brain problem. I saw a few neuro-ophamologists that's supposed to know this
stuff but they said yes...something is wrong but there's nothing we can do. I ended up finding an amazing doctor that did vision therapy and he practically fixed my vision. It was so bad before that I couldn't read or drive. You can find a similar specialist in your area at www.Nora.us Good luck!
Diagnosed September '09 with one CM centered in the right insular cortex/basal ganglia. Saw many, many doctors and had surgery 12/10/10 with Dr. Spetzler. I am thrilled to have this bleeding thing out of my head even though I suffered a stroke during surgery. Have had/ continue to make an amazing recovery. http://www.thankfulforeveryday.blogspot.com
