trouble with PM

Postby Libby » Tue Sep 28, 2010 11:53 am

I just went to my PM and there were two messages there. I was not notified. Do I need to push something?
I have to leave but I'll be back by noon.

User Control Panel > Board Preferences > Notify me on new private messages.

For me it's set to Yes by default; is that not the case for you?

Maybe there's a problem with your e-mail. I'll try PMing you and we'll see what happens.

Actually I was just going to write you and tell you that I had written myself one and got notified. The other 2 were from the boss when you were testing this so maybe it wasn't right then.

Yes, it's possible that the test PMs got caught somehow. The permissions were different, so maybe they weren't getting sent.

hey Kirk,
I am having problems with my PM's, I get the email notifications, but when I come onto the forum and my inbox there is nothing there that I can reply to. I know I have a message. Any ideas on how to fix it?

When you get an email, is there a link to view the PM? Did you try clicking it? Or is it just a general link. (Sorry, I'm not sure exactly what happens...)
